The Future Sound of Yoga is the creation of Angel and Matt Singmin - two music passionate yogis that met by chance in the dance tent at Glastonbury while watching the Chemical Brothers. The project was born on 15 Jan 2010 when they ran an experimental yoga/dance session in Sydney, which fused together their shared passion for movement and cutting edge music. The experience struck a chord with yoga + music lovers alike, providing an alternative night out experience where people could hear great music, move and self-express.

Since then they have toured extensively around Australia, performing at both music festivals (Peats Ridge, Playground Weekender, Splendour in the Grass) and the major yoga festivals (Byron Spirit, Bodhi, the Phoenix Weekend, Wanderlust, Bondi Yoga Festival).

On the international stage, they have been featured at the Bali Spirit Festival, the Hawaii Spirit Festival and the Hong Kong Asia Yoga Conference, as well as in London where they held a weekly Saturday night residency at the Life Centre in the summer of 2011. Today they continue to be based in Sydney running regular events in the city.

In addition to the Future Sound of Yoga experience, they also created the Phoenix Weekend (a hybrid yoga retreat/festival) and Night Creatures (a Halloween warehouse party fueled by acai, cacao and superfood elixirs, which featured DJs, tantra, kundalini yoga and 5 rhythms).

Matt (under the artist name SOLON) has also released a number of yoga mixes and ambient compositions specifically designed for yoga/meditation. His tracks and mixes have been streamed over 70,000 times across 56 countries around the world.
